Product Description

Dining chairs with arms are worth the extra width. There's support where your elbows land, and no shifting about between courses.

The Beau is a mid-century modern design with the back and arms shaped from one continuous curve. It runs from one side across to the other and drops at each end into integrated armrests, so the wraparound backrest and the arms are a single piece rather than separate parts joined together. Taupe bouclé upholstery covers both, looped and lightly textured, in a grey-brown that reads warmer or cooler depending on the light. The walnut wood frame below is dark and openly grained, with squared legs angled gently outward.

Key Features

  • Padded seat, generously filled and covered in the same textured fabric
  • Curved backrest and low arms formed as one sculptural piece
  • Solid four-leg frame with visible wood grain and tapered legs
  • Contrasting fabric and dark wood finish
  • Supplied as a set of two dining chairs

Care

Bouclé upholstery.

  • Vacuum with a brush attachment every few weeks; bouclé traps crumbs and dust in its loops, and regular vacuuming does more for the fabric than any cleaning product.
  • Blot spills straight away with a clean dry cloth, pressing rather than rubbing — rubbing works the mark into the weave and flattens the pile.
  • Never soak the fabric, and don't pull at snagged loops. Snip them level with scissors instead.

Walnut frame.

  • Dust with a dry cloth. Wipe marks with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately, as standing water will mark a stained finish.
  • Keep the chairs out of direct sun, which fades dark wood faster than pale, and away from radiators.
